Attorney Laurie G. DeNigris

Laurie G DeNigris joined the firm in 2008 with 22 years of experience as a family law practitioner. She devotes her practice here at SMDD to all areas of family law, including litigating fully contested divorce and custody matters as well as negotiating settlements for divorce, separation, custody and support, post judgment matters, asset division, termination of parental rights, adoptions, civil unions, cohabitation agreements, premarital agreements, and unmarried couples. Attorney DeNigris is also experienced in the no-court alternatives to litigation such as collaborative law and mediation, wherein the parties desire to resolve their disputes in a fair manner that is less costly both financially and emotionally. In addition, Ms. DeNigris represents clients seeking social security benefits.

Attorney DeNigris serves as a Special Master for matrimonial and custody matters in the Hartford, Middletown, New Britain Courts as well as the Regional Custody Trial court in Middletown. She is co chair of the Central Connecticut Collaborative Family Law Group, member of the International Academy of Collaborative Practitioners, Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Lawyers Association, member of the Connecticut, Harford and New Britain Bar Associations, member of the Guardian ad Litem Academy, and member of the Parental Alienation Task Force. Ms. DeNigris is also a life time James Cooper Fellow for the Connecticut Bar Foundation.
